Naperville Central loses to St. Charles East 31-32, Lockport 10-55, and Neuqua Valley 26-51

Naperville Central 1-6, (0-1) dropped three duals at the Mega-Duals held at St. Charles East. Stephen Splan scored two wins by pin at 120 to get his season on track. Splan pinned Weber of St. Charles East and Ratz of Neuqua Valley. Kirk Cherep turned in a couple of wins at 132 defeating Dietz of Lockport 6-1 and Kendryna by technical fall 18-1. Cherep was awarded the "I'm Somebody" award for this efforts.
Tom Mitrenga turned in a good performance with a pair of wins at 160. Tom defeated Carlson of St. Charles East 11-1 and pinned Pitter of Neuqua 11-1. Cody Caputo won his first varsity match when he defeated Moles of Lockport 2-0 at 220 pounds.
The Redhawks JV1 team went 3-0 in their Mega-Duals defeating Oswego 64-9, Lockport 65-3 and Neuqua Valley 39-24. The JV2 team finished 1-2 defeating Oswego 54-30 while losing to St. Charles East and Lockport.
The Redhawks freshman team took 5th in the 8 team Lyons Tournament. Derek Wilke and Bobby McMillen won the tournament at 113 and 182 pounds respectively. Evin Kilicarslan and Joe Schweikart took second at 97 and 152 respectively.
Naperville Central returns home for two DVC duals next week when they face Wheaton North on Thursday, Dec. 8, and West Aurora Dec. 9, then they travel to Hoffman Estates High School for their first tournanment of the year on Saturday, Dec. 10.
