NCHS 58 – LP 9
Naperville Central traveled to Lake Park to take on the Lancers on a
Thursday and won the dual by a score of 58 – 9. The dual win improves
Naperville Central record to 19-3 on the year and 6-1 in the DVC.
The dual started at 120 where Mujtaba Ahmed nearly defeated Laygo but
lost by a score of 4-6. Joe Lopez was next up and he won by a score of
12-4. Derek McDaniel scored six points in the final frame of his match to
win 8-3. Luke Russell wrestled at 160 and recorded a pin in 32
seconds. At 170 pounds, Jackson Punzel scored offensive points in every
period of his match to win 9-6. In the final match of the night,
Christian Nussbaum earned a first period fall. Lake Park forfeited to
Kyle Guttosch, Colin Baumgartner, Nick Keating, Jake Keating, and Michael
Norwood. Both teams forfeited 195 pounds.
