NCHS
JV1 team competed at Joliet Central and finished 2-1 in duals beating Joliet
Central and Bolingbrook and just missed defeating Oak Forest, losing by just
one team point. Frank Saporano won all
three of his matches, all by fall.
Naperville
Central put together a freshman-sophomore team that competed at the competitive
Maine South F/S tournament and came home with the first place trophy. The Redhawks were in 2nd place going into the
final round.
Central took first place in 5 of the 15
weight classes contested. Ethan Jones
won his first ever tourney. Jonah
Boykin, Aiden Lutes, Anthony Pendolino, and Nick Antonietti were crowned first
place. Alex Knusel took 2nd place. Quinn Hurley and Austin Longmire 3rd.
Charlie Morgan, Ian Collins, Sean Bakos, and Mason Cooperkawa took 4th.
NCHS freshman hosted Grant High School
at home in a friendly wrestling jamboree.
All wrestlers received matches.
