Naperville Central defeats Geneva on Senior Night.

NCHS 58 – Geneva 24

Naperville Central, 22-3, (3-0 in DVC) hosted its last dual of the season against Geneva and won 58-24.  Seniors and their parents were recognized prior to the dual.  Central loaded its line-up with its senior class.

Senior Colin Baumgartner started the match with a technical fall at 120 pounds.  Geneva answered with falls against Leo Keating and senior Alek Van Eeuwen at 126 and 132 respectively.  Senior Captain Kyle Guttosch won by fall at 138.  Senior Max Sibley picked up a forfeit at 145 pounds.  Senior Ben Mota lost by fall at 152 pounds.  Shane Roth won by forfeit at 160.


Central ran four pins in a row, all by seniors.  Jackson Punzel in 1:28 at 170 pounds, Cameron Palmer in 43 seconds at 182, Ben Cianchetti in 1:50 at 195 pounds and Frank Saporano in just 34 seconds at 220.  Carson Enfield was caught in a headlock and pinned at 285.  Tommy Porter scored a technical fall at 106 pounds.  Tyler Driessens won by forfeit at 113.

Seniors and their parents recognized were managers Jenneh Fatorma, Gabriella Ruiz, Maddie Simms and Brooke Irwin and wrestlers Colin Baumgartner, Ben Cianchetti, Kyle Guttosch, Nicholas Hajakian, Cesar Medina, Ben Mota, Cameron Palmer, Jackson Punzel, Frank Saponaro, Max Sibley, Alek Van Eeuwen and Jaylin Wright
