Naperville Central Improves to 4-0

Naperville Central (4-0, 1-0 in DVC) defeated DuPage Valley foe Waubonsie Valley by a score of 57-16 at home on a Friday night.  The Redhawks won six of the ten contested matches and picked up another four wins by forfeit.

Leading off for the Hawks was senior captain Tommy Porter (145) who racked up eight takedowns before locking down a fall.  After Chris Ramirez (152) and Ayden Lutes (160) earned their forfeits, senior Tristen Hall (170) wasted no time getting a pin in the first period of his match.  David Pirozhnik score a pin at 182 pounds and remains undefeated on the year.  Haaris Khan (195) just missed winning his match, falling short 2-3.  Niko Besterio (220) and Nick Antonietti (285) recorded wins by forfeit. 

The dual went back and forth from there.  Freshman Ryan Serbinski (106) lost in his varsity debut by a score of 1-4.  Ty Martin (113) avenged Serbinski’s loss with a fall in the second period of his match.  Lucas Moen (120) entered the varsity line-up and fell short by a score of 1-9.  Ethan Olsen scored a fall wrestling at 126 pounds.  August Kukis (132) lost by pin.  Junior Neil Rao earned his first varsity win with a 6-3 decision at 138 pounds.

Both the JV and freshman squads defeated Waubonsie Valley prior to the varsity dual.
