NCHS 63 – Wheaton North 7

Naperville Central improved to 18-1 (4-1 in DVC) on the
season after defeating Wheaton North at home.
The Redhawks won eight out of ten matches contended, four by fall. Of the ten matches, Central started eight
seniors. The varsity dual was preceded
by a recognition of twenty of its seniors.
The dual started with Wheaton North forfeiting the first four weight classes, 106, 113, 120, and 126. Mitchell Kaszuba started the dual competition with a first period pin at 132. Senior Tommy Porter won by major decision 14-4. His senior co-captain Chris Ramirez also earned a win by technical fall. Senior Charlie Morgan battled by lost at 152 by a score of 1-8. Junior upstart Joe Thomas looked impressive in a 6-0 decision wrestling at 160 pounds. Senior Tristen Hall gave up a major decision at 170, losing 2-12.
NCHS the final four matches in the dual. Senior David Pirozhnik, 182, won by fall in
the first period. Haaris Khan (195),
also a senior, won by major decision 16-6.
Muhammad Totten took advantage of being under the spotlight by locking
down a fall in the first period at 220.
Nick Antonietti completed the dual with a fall in just 42 seconds at
285.

Muhammad Totten
Naperville Central won duals at the JV1, JV2 and Freshman
Levels.
