For the second time this season the Lady Redhawks travelled
to Batavia for a wresting scramble. It
was the final tune-up prior to the IHSA Girls Regional coming up next
week. Three Hawks finished 2-0 including
Dezi Azar who improved to 22-2 on the season.
Freshman Gracie Meluch added two more falls to her team-leading
total. Meluch is 20-9 with all 20 wins
coming by fall. Meluch also leads the
team in takedowns with 37, one more than Azar.
Arianna Rico improved to 11-9 after posting two wins of her own. Ellen Purl will enter Regionals with a record
of 15-11. Annika Hull is currently at
12-11 with 11 falls. Bianca Arredondo
owns a record of 10-14. Sophia Liu
rounds off the girls team and has two wins.
