Naperville Central Wrestling Awards Banquet

The Naperville High School wrestling team celebrated their 2019-2020 accomplishments at the annual award banquet.  There was quite a bit to celebrate!

1.      Memories from a fantastic 2019-2020 wrestling season

Varsity Accomplishments
  • 22-5, (4-1 in DVC): 2nd in duals DVC, 2nd in DVC tournament
  • 1st at Hoffman Estates, 1st at the M-S Invitational, 6th at DeKalb and 1st at Regionals, the first championship since 2012
  • Had 6 conference champs (a record)
  • qualified 12 wrestlers for the sectional tournament (a record)
  • had 3 state qualifiers

Underlevels Accomplishments
  • JV1 finished 2nd place in DVC, JV2 finished 1st place in DVC
  • JV1 was 16-5 in duals, 1st at Streamwood, 2nd at Libertyville, 4th at Bolingbrook
  • F/S and JV2 was 19-0 in duals, 1st at Plainfield South F/S, 3rd at Maine South F/S, 1st and 4th at NCHS JV2, 1st at Oswego F/S
  • Freshman (only) was 6-0 in duals, 4th at Lyons Township, 3rd at Hinsdale South
